Energy Giant is the incredible new album from East London based electronic producer Bit Cloudy.

Drawing on his past experiences from attending 90's techno raves, and with recent live performances alongside such leading lights as Pye Corner Audio, Laetitia Sadier (Stereolab) and Talvin Singh, Bit Cloudy brings a wealth of experience and production expertise to the table. Energy Giant is a confident, vibrant and energetic album, bursting with nightclub pulses and post-rave headspace soundscapes in equal measure.

With a sound that effortlessly blends contemporary and nostalgic production ethics, Bit Cloudy (real name Martin Thompson) is capable of sheer dancefloor euphoria with Instant Constant, and the Cheetah-esque bass rumblings and lush synth layering of Living Intoxicants drift and evolve like all great 4/4 dance tracks do.

Like all elite electronic producers, there is more than one string to the Bit Cloudy bow. The epic Bled Serpent Blues, with it's dreamy arpeggio intro and hyper-kinetic drum patterns and soaring synths, confirm that Martin is far from one-dimensional in his approach (as well as Bit Cloudy, he plays guitar and synth in art pop combo Firestations).

Belgrade Belt Drive, with it's haunting sub bass a la Massive Attack and minimal chill-room beats, is an absolute treasure, as is Judas Paydirt, which embraces micro-tonality and beautiful lo-fi textures.

There are no wrong turns or red herrings on Energy Giant. It is all gold, and just begging to be discovered.
